Owners Geraldine and Gerry
McHarg started the vineyard in 1998 and wine production
commenced in 2001. The site offers sunlight and rainfall to
give a balance of acid and sugar in the fruit, an ideal climate
for Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Functions - Lake Cooper Estate is an ideal venue for any social gathering...
The name ‘Lake Cooper’ was chosen as our vineyard
overlooks Lake Cooper and was a very picturesque view
until the lake dried up in 2002. Hence our ”Dry Lake”
2002 vintage. Lake Cooper was known as "Paboinboolok" to
the local aboriginals meaning Shallow Sheet of Water.
Our logo shows a Brolga, a
large crane with a featherless red head and grey crown. The
township of Corop is named after the peculiar cry of the
companion bird "Kor-Rop".
